Receipt of Abstracts
The reception of abstracts will begin on December 30, 2021 and will be done exclusively through the Form to Upload Abstract
The deadline for receiving abstracts will be March 15, 2022 .
In the case of Non-Members of the SCHCM, a maximum of two papers per attendee or participant will be accepted, while for Members there will be no limit on the number of papers.
It is not required to pay the registration fee at the time of submitting the abstract. However, the registration fee must be paid once the acceptance of the paper has been notified in order for it to be included in the scientific program.
Structure of the Abstract
Please consider the following structure for the abstract and follow the example available in this Word file .
- Title (maximum 20 words)
- Author(s) and affiliation(s)
- Short abstract (250 words maximum) Do not include figures, tables or references.
- Funding Source (optional)
Abstracts that do not comply with the requirements described in these instructions will not be evaluated.
Modality of Presentation (Oral Presentation, Poster)
The oral presentation will be in PowerPoint (.pptx) format, in Spanish or English, and will have a duration of 15 minutes: 10 minutes of presentation and 5 minutes of discussion/consultations.
Authors will have panels where they can present their work, using appropriate texts with letters, figures and tables clearly visible at least two steps away. Posters should measure 90 cm wide by 110 to 120 cm high, vertically. Texts in Spanish or English, with typography chosen by the authors.
The exhibitor will be required to be present during the time allotted for the exhibition of posters, according to what is indicated in the congress program.
Works of Incorporation as Active Members of the Sociedad Chilena de Ciencias del Mar (SCHCM)
The Sociedad Chilena de Ciencias del Mar (SCHCM) invites the submission of abstracts for papers for incorporation as active members. These abstracts must comply with the same dates, format and indications indicated.

The Symposia held within the framework of the XLI CCM2022 will be special sessions in which a specific topic of high relevance to marine sciences will be addressed. The objective of the Symposiums is to provide a conceptual and integrative approach that promotes discussion by a group of experts in each topic who will contribute their particular knowledge.
The reception of Symposium proposals will begin on December 30, 2021 and will be done via email, using the Symposium Proposal Form
The deadline for submission of Symposium proposals is January 31, 2022.
Course and/or Workshop Proposals
The Organizing Committee of the XLI CCM invites the scientific community to send proposals for Courses and/or Workshops to be held prior to the start of the event (May 21 and/or 22, 2022) or post-event (May 28 and/or 29, 2022).
The receipt of proposals for Courses and/or Workshops will begin on December 30, 2021 and will be done via email, using the Courses and Workshops Proposal Form
The deadline for submitting Course and/or Workshop proposals is January 31, 2022.
