Dra. Marta Estrada is a linked teacher “to honor”From the Institute of Marine Sciences of Barcelona (CSIC). Her research focuses on the diversity and dynamics of marine phytoplankton and the study of interactions between physical-chemical and biological processes in the pelagic ecosystem.. She has been principal investigator of numerous projects financed with state and European Union funds and has led oceanographic campaigns in Antarctica and other marine regions.. Member of the Institut d’Estudis Catalans since 2003, of the Royal Academy of Sciences and Arts of Barcelona since 1999 and from the European Academy since 2016. He has received several awards, among them the Creu de Sant Jordi of the Generalitat de Catalunya (2004), the Medal of the City of Granollers (2005) and the Barcelona Medal of Honor (2017). Actualmente forma parte de la International Society for the Study of Harmful Algae (ISSHA).
